Francesca Cassar is a 26-year-old Maltese graduate architect with an M. Arch degree in Architectural Design from the University of Malta. She has a special interest in social design, community engagement, design for well-being, the architecture of every day, migration, identity, and spatial agency.  

Her M. Arch dissertation entitled "Re-rooted: Identity and Sense of Belonging in Domestic Spaces of South Asian Minorities in Malta" aims to understand the spatial conditions minorities in Malta dwell in, and how they assimilate and appropriate under such restrictive conditions.

Francesca has been an active member of the EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly) community since 2018, a National Contact for EASA Malta, and a main organizer for INCM Riflessi which is an architecture students' meeting and symposium which was held in ex-Villaggio Eni, Italy in October 2023. 

In her free time, Fran is involved in SOS Malta, and cultural cooperative Kixott. She also loves to travel, practise analogue photography, explore new places and meet new people.
